Description: Point features collected during KVAS Survey. Data collection notes: because feature 'owner' label changed from ILINDSAY to OBD with a server migration, Ian was unable to update domains, and had to create parallel ones. Fields effected include Recorder vs. Field Recorder. Since 2015, we have been adding data using the Field Recorder field. Similarly, the "Periods" domain could not be updated to include add Paleolithic and Neolithic options, so Ian created a new Domain called "Diagnostic Material", which is assinged to Surface Mat.3 field (which previously contained no data, so it was easy to assign it to that field). Starting in 2017, anytime we want to record a Paleolithic surface material, we need to do it in Surface Mat. 3 field.
Description: This polygons represents the boundaries of systematically surveyed area between the towns of Aparan and Nigavan, conducted by Project ArAGATS during the 2014 field season. Ian Lindsay and Cornell grad student were pilot testing Collector for ArcGIS app on iPad Air tablets. Transect end points were recorded in GIS Pro app by Garafa, Inc., and the polygon was drawn by connecting those dots, and exported as a shapefile.
