Service Description:  Soil Temperature Regimes.
The Soil Temperatures Regimes map was created by using a soil water balance model to estimate soil temperature regimes as well and is based on data from more than 20,000 climatic stations world wide. Data source: This map was originally produced by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in April 1997 and is available online at http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/detail/soils/use/maps/?cid=nrcs142p2_054019. Accessed 25 January 2015. The spatial data were downloaded on 25 January 2015 from ftp://ftp-fc.sc.egov.usda.gov/NHQ/pub/outgoing/soils/global_soil_temperature_map_shp.zip .
